5K RUN TO THE PLUNGE
What better way to prepare for the Plunge than with a frigid 5K run or walk? Or, if you draw the line at jumping into the ocean, this event is a great way to be a part of the weekend without getting wet.

Pre registration for the 2027 Run to the Plunge 5K TBD! We encourage you to check back closer to the event.
COURSE DETAILS
Join us at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand for an out and back 5K (3.1-mile) run or walk.
The course will take you north on the boardwalk from downtown Rehoboth toward Cape Henlopen State Park, with a finish back on the iconic boardwalk!
RESULTS & HISTORY
The 2025 5K Run to the Plunge was the 16th anniversary event and hosted over 594 runners. The 2026 5K Run was canceled due to an abundance of caution for the safety of our runners by the City of Rehoboth.
